Leland Paper Company was started in 1951 by Darwin E. Leland when he bought the old MacLaren Paper Company. Our first building at 76 Lawrence Street was recently renovated by the Post-Star in their latest expansion. Darwin’s son Richard Leland serves as President and C.E.O., while his grandsons, Steven and Jeffrey, make up the third generation and serve as vice presidents.

In 1991, Leland Paper Company was the inaugural winner of the Small Business of the Year Award, given out by the Adirondack Regional Chambers of Commerce. This award is given by the ARCC, with over 1,000 members, for: Service to the Community, Staying Power, and Workplace Innovation.
